Hiroshi Mashiko, Vice-Minister for Policy Coordination at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), visited Toyohashi University of Technology on September 5, 2024, and toured the LSI Factory of the Institute for Research on Next-generation Semiconductor and Sensing Science (IRES²).

In the LSI Factory cleanroom (VBL 1F), he was introduced to the University’s latest sensor research, industry-academia collaboration initiatives, and research and educational activities related to semiconductor technology. This was followed by an active exchange of views and ideas with Acting President Akihiro Wakahara and other university representatives.
