On May 25, 2023, students from Toyohashi Higashi Senior High School visited our university and toured our research facilities including this laboratory and other laboratories.
Associate Professor Toshihiko Noda and Associate Professor Hiroto Sekiguchi of the Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Engineering gave the students a tour of the semiconductor integrated circuit facilities and equipment at the LSI fab.
　After the tour, students commented, “I enjoyed learning about the semiconductor manufacturing facilities and how semiconductors are made, which I don’t usually see, and it made me more interested in semiconductor manufacturing. I was able to see and hear a lot about research, experiments, and production of semiconductors, and I became very interested in them. We will continue to offer this seminar to students of technical colleges and universities.

　We will continue to welcome technical college students and high school students to our institute.
